Claire Emery will be doing a live demonstration of her woodcut printing on Saturday, August 17 as part of the Homestead’s live crafting series. Claire’s work focuses on transforming her field sketches, observations of place, and reflections on the spiritual journey into woodcuts. Using a variety of carving tools, she carves away at the woodblocks, drawing images out of the darkness of the wood and into the light. Join us at the Homestead during open hours from 11-5 to see this spectacular demonstration.
Parking available on the south side of Spurlock Road. Look for signage leading up to the Homestead. Hiking via the North Hills trails and biking via Spurlock Road is encouraged! Handicap accessible parking is available on site at the Homestead.
